SAKSHI KADAM
ABOUT
Sakshi Kadam works in stone, approaching the material not as something to be overcome but as something to be understood. Her practice is built around a sustained attentiveness to what stone already carries: the record of its formation, the marks left by pressure and time, the
internal logic of its structure. Carving, in her hands, is a form of dialogue rather than imposition. Fractures, roughness and voids are not incidental to the work. They are among its most expressive elements, carrying a language of memory, resilience and the passage of time. Kadam holds a B.F.A. and M.F.A. in Sculpture.
