Nitish Bhattacharjee
He approaches the act of painting as a form of philosophical attention. For him, the canvas is a site of dialogue between the self and the world, and the work of the artist is less one of expression than of careful, sustained witnessing. He does not seek to own what passes through him in paint, but to act as its steward. Colour, form and line are explored with deliberate patience, layer upon layer, so that meaning is not announced but accumulated. His work is held in collections including Roopankar Bharat Bhavan, the Jindal Art Foundation and RPG Enterprises.
